MX510 button issues?

Postby law.of.averages » Tue May 17, 2005 12:09 pm

Anyone figured out how to get the 'other' MX510 buttons to work consistantly...

I've messed with the registry to tell mouseware UT2004.exe is a game, so now I get buttons 1-5 working fine. And no longer will my middle button bring up the Ogg/MP3 Player screen. :)

I can map 6-8 to keys, but I'd prefer to have them map to button6, button7, button8 in the ut2004.ini

Barring that at least to be able to map them to keys that aren't on the keyboard ... F13 - F24 are likely candidates...

Hey Law, I don't use mouseware because it's more laggy than just native windows drivers. It does have some nice features but I'm a purist. : )

Hmm, maybe I'll have to uninstall it... I don't know what's going on. @ Monday's practice I was constantly loosing my orientation (more than normal even)

Last night, for the first couple of games things were going well, but then it started happening again. Like the mouse would suddenly get the idea to rotate farther or less than other times...

Hehe. It's not a big deal. Just me going on and on about stuff that I think can help your game. Probably completely ignorable to most but maybe someone getting started would find some nuggets.
