Duke Nukem

Postby Porkinator » Wed Dec 19, 2007 8:13 am

For those who never played the Duke Nukem game you missed a lot.
The new game has been under developement for over 7 years if not more due to constant delays.
That game was a blast and now there are screen shots and a new video to come out tomorrow.

Yes the net was all a buzz yesterday with the announcement. The trailer is actually out and it truly is a teaser but if you liked the old duke, it's pretty good. I have to say though the small 3 second clips of the ingame stuff looks like the Prey engine which I thought was just ok at the time. I think that was a modified q4 engine but can't remember.
Anyway duke wasn't really about the graphics as much as the fun and humor so hopefully they remember that.

Any game that took longer then WW2 to end should be da bomb. :salmon:

Duke3D rocked. There was so much interactivity with the environment. go to flush a toilet and you gain a bit of health as you take a leak. Go to a toilet in any other game and its just the player pressing the lever. LAME! It was better then Quake, not because of the graphics but because of the humor, style, and story. It had depth, and thats what i like.
