Weekend Fun

Postby Ace » Tue Jun 19, 2007 8:23 am

Over the years I've collected a number of monitors that no longer work. It just so happens that Trin and I know somebody that has a small arsenal of weapons....it doesn't take a genius to figure out what happens next!

Here's what we started with:

Image

Trin, loading up what we are taking with us

Image

The range

Image

Trin checking out the real fun weapons (AR15)

Image

".44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world" Do you monitors feel lucky?

Image

First hit from a .22 pistol

Image

After a few more hits (total of 10 hits from a .22 pistol)

Image

Next Trin fires a .38

Image

Big Dog time, the .44

Image

No, I'm not shooting in the air...that's the recoil

Image

12 gauge time

Image

This is what is left, poor monitor didn't have a chance

Image

AR15 time, this was entirely too much fun!

Image

This was a new monitor prior to the clip of 10 rounds I put in it

Image

Trin's turn with her 10 rounds on monitor #3

Image

Trin's monitor afterwards

Image

Time for the heavy artillery now, the .308

Image

Trin's turn, love the shell caught in mid air

Image

The final results of monitor #3

Image

Last monitor getting hit with a 20 gauge, surprisingly it didn't penetrate the screen with the first shot

Image

Not to worry, we hit it with more

Image

Trin's purple .22 (like you couldn't guess it was hers)

Image

Final results of monitor #4

Image

After picture of our carnage

I had a blast and I really enjoyed using the various guns. Unfortunately in a few years when I have that many flat panels saved up, I don't think it will be as much fun!

308 is sort of a whimpy round .
You need at least a 30.06 for those big monitors.
Better yet a 300. Winchester Magnum.

Actually calling in an airstrike would have been fun.

My dad still has quite the collection even after cleaning it out a few times :). I think we pulled out at least one of everything. There were at least two more 38 revolvers, his 22 target pistol, another 22 rifle, and a few shotguns that I know we left behind .

Maybe this year i will actually learn how to shoot skeet/trap. Man shotguns frustrate me. There should also be some more 22 plinking so I'll do better in league next year.
