300

Postby nonstop » Wed Jan 24, 2007 4:17 pm

Anyone excited about this movie? I have been watching this one for months and it's almost here.

And, can anyone recognize the song in the background? I have had that one in a rotation on my ipod for a few weeks for my workout playlist so when I heard it I was like... hang on.... I know that one!

I rented the old 1960's one from netflix not to long ago... My wife had never heard the story.

Fortunately my 9th grade history teacher was a spartian worshiper, and told us the story backwards and forwards. even had us form up a phalanx and attack the neigboring classroom.

It doesn't seem to mimic the actual "300", at least from what I've seen. I might end up seeing it just for the sake of hopefully hearing the phrase, "Either you come back with your shield, or on it."

And hopefully none of that lovey-dovey shit they usually put in these kinds of movies, since that would ruin the entire Spartan shtick (at least for me) that they had going. :?

I'm not a fan of "EXTREME POST PRODUCTION EDITINGGG!??!!!111". I guess you can't ask for much from the people that did Sincity though.

But yeah, might see it might not. I never go the movie theatres though.

Funny, then you aren't a fan of any sci fi movie ever made, any fantasy movie ever made, and about 75% of movies out there. Explains not going to theater I suppose.

Not true. A lot of Sci fi movies are done with make up. I'm talking about all that Color changing shit like that. Honestly I think it starts hurting my eyes after a while LOL. Not to mention its about the Spartans and Persians, a historical event. But yeah its hollywood, what do you expect? I bet all of the Spartans end up killing the Persians without one getting killed. What do you guys think? /sarcasm

That's the problem with asking folks what they think...so often what people think is the last thing they'd ever say out loud :p

True, but my question was "is anyone excited" as I really don't care what they think, esp. to the contrary on this movie, because I can't wait. Even though it said "is anyone excited" soulja in his unmedicated state had to be a naysayer. Next time I'll make the post, "is anyone excited, if not shut the hell up." 8)
