Free Shipping

Those of you of the married (or significantly attached) persuasion, can testify that whenever possible, 'spouse gets what spouse wants' Well Mrs. Law has been casually hinting in no-uncertain terms that a new laptop would make an excellent addition to our happy microcosm.

Wanting to maintain the current level of happy, I willingly--and without any form of coersion whatsoever--elected to take part of the cold-beer money I've been earning, and went ahead and picked out a nice little gem from Toshiba. When I got to the appropriate step in the order process, I selected the 'free shipping' special to save a few meager dollars for the icey-malt-beverage-taste I dream of.

That was on the 18th--concidentally our 8th wedding anniversary.
Today after a week of 'Your order is being packed' I finally recieved the shipping notice:

According to the email, the laptop was shipped out yesterday via UPS Ground.

The current tracking says that it left Shanghai, China  at 2:52 AM EST.

Yeah, they're called "amphibious vehicles." I remember seeing them for the first time on a visit to Branson. Man, I wish I could've ridden on one...
