actually, im running a bandwith usage monitor on both the machines right now....we will c, i guess...

client side bandwidth monitor wont show everything unfortunately. You need something at the router seeing both incoming and outgoing traffic.
I iike Linksys WRT54GL running DD-WRT for the do-it-yourself at home router. It has the bandwidth monitoring built in.

the monitor program i have does the incomming and the outgoing counts...
