A couple of "Big" announcements regarding the next UT:
1.) Name change: It is now UT III (No longer UT 2007)

2.) Xbox 360 release:

Just great...
The name change gives Epic license to release the game sometime in 2009, and a release on Xbox:
......
Ah well, maybe they'll cross-platform it just to boost us PC-user's egos.
EDIT: Apparently there is a new trailer for the game as well... Again, nothing earth shattering here either, but kind of cool to watch:

I notice it's not Epic changing the name, but Midway. This is a marketing decision... Much like Sierra's decision to rename their recently released FPS game F.E.A.R and not the name given it by the developers at Monolith.
I suppose we should be happy they kept the name Unreal, so that us long time supporters will be able to find it on the store shelves.

At this point I don't even care. They gave all their designers over to the gears of war development for the last few months so xbox is definately on the front of minds. Whenever something is developed for a console first it usually stinks on pc.
