Heisman Winner 2009 - Ace
Maxwell Award - Ace
Best QB (forget the award name) - Ace
Most TD's in a season - Ace
Most Yard's in a season - Ace
Most TD's in a career - Ace
Most Yard's in a career - Ace
Big Ten Champs - Ace (3)
Orange Bowl Winner - Ace
National Champion - Ace (3)

Senior Year happened to be a good one, especially the final two games. The U of M vs Ohio State game, again saw #1 vs #2 as the final game of the season. This time at Ohio State, but this time destiny, was on Ace's side. This time, no fluke play could save Ohio State when going against Ace's golden arm. Then another #1 vs #2 match-up against Miami for the National Chamionship to put the excalmation point to an outstanding college career.

What will Ace do now that is college career is over? Retire? Get that Mc Donalds job because he had to skip classes to practice? Live off of all the honeys that were after him and throwing themselves at his feet? None of the above! Ol'Ace is headed off to start his career in Madden 06, where hopefully he's drafted by the Lions and he can lead that pathetic team to the promise land!

Since it was hijacked, I'll say yes to Pewter. The demo is very good and a little bit of Half Life and a little bit of doom with a sprinkle of resident evil.

LOL, Doom was about the biggest pile of crap ever made. Any game mentioned in the same sentence as it....automatically gets a thumbs down from me.

Hell, even Vader agrees!

Funny pic Ace but you have no appreciation for the code baby!

ID doesn't care about what you think of their game(s). Doom3 stunk as far as gameplay but they have the most brilliant programmer on the planet working on the engine(s) at ID, John Carmack.

When they put out a dumpy game they don't care about the gameplay, they make engines. The Doom3 engine will yield somewhere in the neighborhood of a half a billion dollars with licensing agreements over the next 6 - 10 years as it is the formemost engine on the market probably ahead of the hl2 engine.

The advances he made in pixel shading, realiatic shadows, vertex lighting, surface lighting, transparency etc.. are bleeding edge.

A couple of things that still work in doom3 though outisde of the engines abilities themselves are the atmosphere and dread that you get to feel in a few parts of the game. Definately been done better but 'doom' kind of made a signature fot the 'feel' in a game thus the reference isn't off key for a better game.

That's because you live in Illinois. Then again, kind of the same thing goes for those bears. D3 was a large pile of donkey crap. A large, stinking pile.

Doom 3 Source:

Do While Life != Dead and Room != End of Game(

OpenDoor()
Wait()
DimLights()
SpawMonsters()

\\Sorry Can't do spaces have to do bold

If Ammo and Can Backup
Life++
Else
Life--
Endif

If Room = Empty
Room++
Endif

)

I won't go into details of each of the 4 functions, but that was the whole game. There wasn't an ounce of improvement in that game. All they did was remake the original 13 years later, of course the graphics improved over the past 13 years, but that's a given anyway. There hasn't been a game yet, that the graphics got worse...

The simple fact that they statically put enemies in the same spots and didn't put 30 seconds of time into coding enemies that were dynamic and could think.....is a joke.

Just not impressed. For the time, effort, and money that John has...all he did was improve the look. Quite frankly, Far Cry, HL2, etc. did far more with less. I'd like to know what they really worked on for so many years, because it wasn't "code". Code makes a game worth playing.....all they did was sit and photoshop for years.

I'm LOL'ing because you can find Doom 3 for $14 now (which is still over priced)...and I haven't seen anybody playing it for over 6 months. I suggest coding some AI next time around and make the game worth playing....

You big silly Ace. They made graphical advancements that have not been achieved and it was entirely rebuilt from the ground up code wise.

The game being 14 bucks just reinforces your argument that the game stinks, which if you read my post I AGREE WITH!!! Now simma down!

I think all this really boils down to the fact that you can't run it on your current video card!!! :D
