I got crunched in my Blazer last week
We often made jokes about how poorly the Blazer stopped compared to other vehicles but yesterday I found out that my Blazer will stop much better than a Taurus.
The stage: It was pretty rainy all day. I was heading West on Centre almost to the 131 Northbound ramp (on my way home after work). Light changes color so I stop. As I'm looking in my rearview mirror I see a car coming fast. Holy crap... they are not slowing down at all. I managed to get my foot off my brake so after the collision I was pushed out into the intersection and she ended up where I originally was. The speed limit along this road is 45 but most people travel at 55. I swear she hit me doing at least 45. She said she was trying to stop but the car was sliding. However, I am more apt to believe she just wasn't paying attention. We were both fine, which is the important thing in the end.
So the rear seat has a new slant
Don't think I'll be transferring the plate
The passenger side front door is the only one I could manage to get open
Every door received a new alignment
On the far side you can see where it even popped my dash out
And my new lift kit installed in under 5 seconds
Those are the only pics I took that came out as I was still pretty shaken.

dang Trin,
I'm really sorry to see that - but glad you walked away. I've been in my share of wrecks and I know they are always a pain in the rear - literally.
At least you have the motorcycle to get around before you can pick out a new truck!

Trin,
A bit of advice:
Judging completely by the people I've ...um ...come into contact with... you should probably get checked out by a doctor after a wreck like that. Have them make sure your spinal column is still where it should be and there are no internal problems that you don't know about yet.
Again, judging completly by those I've ...met on the street... you can get their insurance to cover the cost of the exam and treatment... and it's much better for you to find out now than later.
Really...do this even if you don't think it's necessary.

Thanks guys.
I didn't plan on getting the Camaro out yet, but that's what I've been driving.
I finally got in touch with the adjuster handling the medical portion and he said I could go to my normal doctor. I have an appointment tomorrow. Once I'm cleared (and I have no reason to believe I won't be) then I'll think about hopping on the bike again .

Wow - glad yer ok Trin!
I was rear ended while in a Toyota Tercel in '92. Pushed the trunk up to the rear seat. My seat broke back. I STILL have back problems. Like Law said - get thoroughly checked out asap.
