Also interesting from slashdot.org

Attack of the Evil Monkeys From Hell

"A new form of communication between wild vervet monkeys and humans is causing humans distress — and a collapse of their food supply. Approximately 300 vervet monkeys in Kenya are sexually harassing the women of a village so they can steal their crops. None of the attempts to discourage the monkeys has so far worked."

Hi All! just came here to contribute my 2Cent experience with BioShock. If you loved SystemSHock2 you'll love this even more!
The game is absolutely one of the best I've played in my gaming carrier! Everything stands out - from graphic, gameplay, story, art decor etc.

http://www.twitchguru.com/2007/08/23/bioshock_review/

I get an average 50-60 fps w/ current build system:

GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 rev.1.3 | C2D E6320 1.86GHz, O/C @ 3.1GHz | CORSAIR XMS2 2GB DDR2 800
OCZ GameXStream ATX12V 700W | MSI Radeon X1950PRO 512MB | SB X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro
Ageia PhysX 128MB DDR3 | WD Caviar SE16 320GB 7200 RPM SATA | LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD SATA

On what settings, though? I have a 7900 GS, and I also got the game, and since those cards are somewhat equivalent (in their performance, even though the ATI one is better), and I was wondering on what settings it should be run.

Hi Avaris, except the very first two circle tabs ( vSync & global Iluminations) under "graphics" everything is set ON. I'm running the game @ 1280x1024 - max details

And Yes, I have experienced crashed as well thru the game but this is documented in http://forums.2kgames.com. For awhile ppl of all sorts of hardware are having crashes here and there. I'm sure a patch is in the works

same issues with the mouse. I'm sure you can adjust the ini somewhere but in the mean time what worked for me was setting it to 1.

yeah there will need to be some mouse tweaking for sure. I did like all the combo moves they showed you in the video at the end of the demo!

Thanks :D

Now I'll need to find the fix for the widescreen issue. Can you really notice any tearing without Vsync on?

Interesting read. Had I paid money for this, I'd be super pissed that I'd lose an activation just by changing hard drives. I don't understand that if I pay money for a game, I should be able to install it / uninstall it from 3 million computers provided I only run it on one machine at a time.

I'd love to check the game out, but I'm not even installing the demo with that crap in it. Hope, UT3 doesn't try to bend its customers over the rape bench with this BS.
