First off thanks Pork for letting me know what was wrong with the vid card it has been that way for a long time and now its great. Turns out I had a 250W power supply so that and the fact that it was 3 years old... So I got a good deal on a 450W and went home to install it and quickly found that the outlet dell makes is the opposite of what I bought. So I decided to take out the power tools.

Holy Crap !!
Talk about a major case mod !!
Would it not have been easier just to get another case ?
I had the same video card as you do and had the same problem
and was about to send it back to ATI but since I needed another power supply anyways so I tried it first and it worked.
I change power supplies every ytear and a half.
I put a lot of hours on them.
