If any of you were watching the World Cup, this happened in the finals. Apparently the Italian player (Materrazi) said some pretty nasty stuff about him (calling him a terrorist, that his sister was a prostitute, etc.). Not only that, he gave him a nipple cripple

Mind you Ace, this is a game that at least a billion people were watching, for something many would give their lives to achieve. This is even better than seeing that Italian player get smacked in the crotch with a ball during the Ukraine vs. Italy game

Yeah and 60 Million people voted for Bush, point being that the majority of people are idiots....

Just because people watch it, doesn't change the fact that it 90 minutes of boring crap.

Football, Hockey, Basketball, and Baseball are all superior.

The ONLY thing soccer has going for it is Soccer Moms....and again that's a US improvement.

Lol right o I have dated 3 soccer moms this year got to love the magnetic soccer ball on the mini van.

Seriously I like playing soccer but it is never going to work here I dont care how many people around the world watch it. The best thing that ever happened was that chick ripping her top off and all that became of that was a great Nike commercial with Kevin Garnett.

how's this Ace? the dude just got Van Dammed!

heh it helps to have it be a part of your life to be able to enjoy the sport as a spectator. The US spectator base needs the instant gratification that high scoring and contact sports offer - doesn't mean soccer is any less of a sport.. just a different clientelle of fans over here.

Ace, I'm upset that you said that for a few reasons.

Soccer is the world's most respected sport, and it seems that only in the USA, we have people at a mass that don't appreciate the sport. For what reasons? I don't know...the history of the sport goes back to the Roman times and before. I for one have played it, and it takes a lot of technical and physical demand while maintaining a level head. I could say the same for football, except they are a bunch of pussies that wear pads (real men play rugby.) Not to mention it's boring as hell...While soccer isn't the fastest moving game (compared to sports like basketball), it still maintains a solid pace (unlike american football, fucking pussies need a breath every 15 seconds :p.) Now if you tell me you like football...I will lawl in your face! :p
"Son look at all the people linin' up for plastic, wouldnt you like to see them in the national geographic? Squatting bare assed in the dirt eatin' rice from a bowl, with a towel on their head and maybe a bone in their nose?"
