I'll help if I can Ven. Give me some more info though because there is no such card as a 9800 gt or gti??
Did you mean xt or pro? You can get a new pro for around 130 or so and the xt's around 190 or so.
I personally think your nuts not to get a 6600gt because that will blow the 9800 our of the water at around 145.00.

If your a diehard ati fan the look at the x700 pro at least so you can have directx 9 compatibility. They start around 140 as well.
The definate leader performance wise would be the 6600 series by nvidia.
Take a look at some benchmarks for the cards your looking for at anandtech.com and maybe firingsquad.com to start with.
The 9800 is ok but showing it's age.
Hope that helps.

256, it will last you longer without needing to replace for the up and coming games.

Well it really depends on what you're doing since the 128 can easily handle Unreal. I mean, unless you're doing something really heavy, or want to prepare for the future, then take the 256. And by the way Nonstop, he doesn't have that much money as you do to blow it on 6600 GTI's

Trust me, you would rather have a 6600gt with 128 than a 9800 with 500. I have had them side by side and the 6600 treats the 9800 like a little avaris.....I mean girl.

Well, I just looked at the prices and sure enough, the 6600 GT is the way to go, since the 9800 pro with the same amount of memory as this one is only a bit cheap and but the benchmarks are worse. So apparently nonstop is right this time
It amazes me to all ends

[quote="nonstop"] The 9800 is ok but showing it's age. ( <--I agree but all I need is 2 more years, still like the ATI series been pretty good to me.)
Welp Thx for all the help but when it came down to it I went with the --- ATI RADEON 9800 PRO 128MB AGP. Not the best but better the the 9500 I was runnen. Got it for $129.00-$10.00=$119.00.
Threw Mwave, pretty good deal couldnt pass it up. I figure 2 more years and UT2007 knock on wood will be out, we will just buy a new Comp, thats the reason im not going to pump alot into this one at the moment. This should get a good 90/100 fps so Ill take that
Thx for all the input I took it all into consideration. Vex
BTW. 2DAY DELIVERY BABY!
Still hate waiting though, 9500 hold on you can make it 2 more dayz lol.

I guess I'll be blowing close to $300 this week on the 6600 Gt and my window tint. I think I'll wait until after the winter to tint to see how my car does and all.

Wait a sec LOL all I care about is UT Non you should know that hehe, and by your chart there the x700 is running a 64 and the 9800 is holding at a fair 63.7 i'll take it!!
haha.. Ya have to remember now i've been stuck with my ole 9500 running at somewhere 35 to 40 :/ Heck i'll take anything
Vex
Opps missed the 6600GT also running at a fair 64 in UT
( 9500 running at somewhere 35 to 40 )<--thats when im lucky
Im just messen anyways I would have taken any of em.

Well fair enough. Interesting though as you can see UT is very processor dependant. None of the scores really changed that much showing that they were all bottlenecked at the processor.
Which cpu do you have?

Nothing to fancy, was when I got it. Its a Dell- (CPU) 1-IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 CPU 2.40GHz, 2391MHz, 512KB (0% Load) .:. (RAM) usage: 258/511MB (50.49%) . Still does the job, but is turning into a Dinosaur fast.
