What Genre best defines you?

Postby Soulja » Wed Apr 27, 2005 10:04 pm

You can't answer this question wrong, and its open ended.

What Genre of music do you think "Defines" you, and why?

I'll post mine when I have the capacity to...

Jazz and Jazz Rock fusion.

I'm a musician and those were the most fun for me to play when I was a drummer. Now that I play fingerstyle and classical guitar I guess you could say contemporary instrumental.

The 3 genres that I listen to the most are alternative, country, and classic rock. But you have to throw in a little hip hop, soul, rap, metal, new age, etc every now and then too!

Classical - No, goal is to never be caught in a suit
Jazz - No, like a great game that moves a bit to slow
Blues - No, goal is to laugh all the time
Country - No, don't drive a pickup truck or watch Nascar
Pop - No, If it's one thing I am, it's real and this crap is all fake
Rock - No, it's important to have a good time, but waking up in a drunken haze isn't me

Alternative - Guess this is me. Not real series about anything. When I'm good, I'm good and when I'm bad, I suck ass.

Ace, you don't have to be in a suite or have money to like classical. I was listening to an internet station that plays classical while we played last night. Classical soothes the soul.

Jazz slow? Have you ever been to a live setting of be-bop jazz or just a jazz trio or quartet? You may be surprised.

I grew around 80's music, Alphaville, Queen, and whatnot, so that genre best defines me. Oh and Ace, I dislike country as well for all the same reasons
