Ok, now to put the 'context' back in...
The first part (I want you to gently") was indeed said directly to me. However he then got distracted at that point adjusting 1 or 2 of the 74 odd tools sticking out of my mouth and began singing along with the radio...
The song on the radio was ch happened to be playing an old Doors tune Touch Me
