Well I heard about this all day long and after seeing the video it really is even stranger then I thought it would be. This guy topped Mel Gibson and he was sober...I think.

...I've been mad enough at people to deliberately choose the words I think would most hurt or enrage them...

I swear I can here nyte laughing in the background right before the brother starts going off.

Yeah that is what I think happened also. I heard before that he went on a rage at some woman and caleld her the C word 40 times. I think he was just being a mean comic and it was recorded by chance on someones cell phone.

On another note you see Jerry Seinfeld jump to his defense there? They said his "friend Jerry", lol. If it was not for the sindication money being at some risk Jerry would have not been available for comment.

Quick judgements Houdini. He may have been just trying to be a friend. Seinfeld is a multimillionaire, I'm sure a few dollers over friendship isn't that big a deal.

I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just saying that you don't know and it's a good practice to 'practice' not having an opinion when you really don't know.

As far as Michael Richards going off, I think it just reveals that there is racism in everyone. I don't care if you flame me or you don't, everyone has a bit of racism in them. If you deny it, you probably need to look more deeply.

This is an example of the racism going unchecked and it was personally almost too hard to watch. Would he have said something that harsh to 2 people of Jewish descent? I have talked it over with a few of my friends that are of different skin color than I and they think it's aweful, and that it's probably in everyone to various degrees.

Something to think about.

I think racism is an INDIVIDUAL problem now....not societal.

I think race had nothing to do with his anger. I think he was angry at the individuals who were heckling him, not their race.

The problem is when you're looking for a weapon to strike back at someone, you're gonna pick the one you think will be most damaging.

My favorite weapon to use aganst my x in an argument was the phrase "you're getting irrational, calm down and let's be civilized about this" ... because I always knew that would throw her right over the edge

I must not have been very good at making my point because I totally agree. Although I do stand behind the idea that we all have amounts, or traces of racism.

When I saw this I wondered whether I could be pushed to that limit if I got angry enough and probably so, but not in front of group of people. I can't imagine how a professional could let themselves get that out of control.

My parents never used racist remarks around us when we were growing up. As a little kid I didn't understand the concept of racism, and I think that is a good way to help stop the perpetuation of it.

The sad thing is that I have seen racism even amongst those who should be the most intolerant of it. Perhaps it is a natural human tendency to put others down to try and raise yourself up. Your ugly... your dumb... prejudice has many faces.

Is it a need to feel more special than others so as not to feel powerless in a chaotic world? Is it a by-product of socialization through standards and norms to encourage conformity? I don't know. I just try to look at it like everyone has an equal right to live this miracle of life, as long as they don't interfere with other's rights to do the same. So if you steal my parking space, I have the right to kill you!

However, this is the rest of the world we're talking about, and they do not see it from that way unfortunately. As you said, if the parents did anything about quelling this with their children, then the world would be a much better place, but in this day and age, try telling that to a parent of a valley girl, and why their child grew up to be such a whore. People will again and again, discriminate against others based upon the concentration of melanin in their skin, or of their religion, hell, people'll fight wars for this, so it just might be an element of our human nature. We're far from perfect

I believe we all have some prejudice in us as we all seem to lean toward the cultue and enviroment that in which we were raised but I can't imagine that any of us would feel that way towards an entire race.

ok ok well since this post Kramer has apologized 3 times! Once to David Letterman for some reason, then to Jessie Jackson for some reason, and now to 4 African Americans. Also I am sure he is in rehab for something because that is what they do. This really points out the state that our country is in at the moment. I think what the man said was distasteful in all but he is a comedian and this is what they do. I am sure that loose woman were not happy with Andrew Dice Clay and some black people were not happy with Chris Rock but there is this crazy freedom of speech thing that used to excuse this sort of commentary as black comedy, edgy yes but did you have to talk to Jessie Jackson? No. I want my country back!
