yeah but the parents messed up too. did they not possibly conceive that their daughter would give out her number to her friends, or anybody else she knew? furthermore, are the parents so naive that they don't know that all teens text an axorbitant amount? i mean, they text if they're across the table from each other! wth?!?!

Well, the article did say that the parents thought that they had blocked texting, so that could be an error on the service provider (which wouldn't surprise me, Verizon has messed with me and my bill so many times!). Really I don't think a 13 year old needs a cell phone, they can't drive yet. Either way, I am surprised she was only grounded to the end of school THAT YEAR. lol
