My Pentium (nothing) 100 Mhz had 128 mb of RAM.

Of course, it was *supposed* to be a Pentium 120Mhz, and the guys at "RAM Technologies" screwed me over with an OC 100... but we all learn sometime...

Well I hate to divulge my age but - here goes - My first video game I played that got me hooked was Doom. I was astounded by the 3D environment and graphics! Played it with 8mb video but had to "dry boot" to get it to run. Windows 3.1 and a pc speaker. It rocked! LOL!

Yea Wolfenstein was out about same time as Doom. Using the 14k baud modem it took about 20 min to download the 1 mb demo I think. That was when Mosaic was the web browser right?
I think I will embarrass myself even further - I think Doom's controls defaulted to the arrow keys - I played so much - I still use the arrow keys for FPS today - know this - and frag me away!

You're probably too young to remember this Nonstop, but in My day when we wanted a copy of something we had to go all the way over to someones house and get it.
