You're all wrong. The backup was from my old hosting account with my old domain. (The one the service provider collected my $9.95, failed to renew on time, then wanted me to bid $100 at the auction to get it back)

Nestled neatly in the file, in addition to some other goodies, were my long lost avatar and signature picture.

You only think that's your long lost avatar and signature picture. It's really just a facade that you are going to be forced to lease or at best pay per use.
