i just wanted to start a thread about another gametype that i find to be a nyce change of pace from TAM every nyte....

i play RPG (Role Playing Game, where u actually develop a character to have stats and bonuses and abilities) Invasion, and i think its a lot of fun to actually work as a team with the other players to defeat the horde of monsters...

some neat things about RPG Inv--->

*where i play, they have a 'weapons of power' mod that lets you build a weapon to ur liking depending on what you get and sharing/supporting one another

*there is a custom set of monsters for this server...the warlord is NOT the baddest monster around anymore

*the monsters will auto-adjust to the levels of the people playing the game...this makes it a constant challenge, u can never get too powerful to not have fun anymore

*there are a bunch of regulars that play, and 99% of them are nyce and cooperate

...so far, eye play, duffy plays, relic plays, prozac played one nyte, and so has sug...i think it would be awsome to get more people playing, esp regulars or clan members...

just a suggestion, but i think people that have not given it a chance may like it, i kno duffy was in that boat, and now he is an addict (just one more map, then ill quit....)...LOL

...if u want to not try it, thats ok 2, i kno some of u klosed minded commie liberal gene-cloned renassance aethists like to call it 'gayvasion', and ignore it.....o well, ur loss...

I have to admit I do like the gametype this is actually (invasion) where I meet Cloud, Wasted, Ernie, Poo, Sug, Relic, Buffy, Tigg, and countless others that I still talk to on here so not going to bash it. I was skeptical about the RPG part of it but it is alot of fun to myself and Nyte and I believe Relic and Sug are liking it also.

If that's the server I played with you a few times on Nyte it was good fun. It was also brutal just starting out, but everyone always helped out the n00b!

RPG invasion is for noobs who can't survive past wave 5 without some kind of special upgrade or "super" weapon.

Play real satore invasion. That's a good challenge. And that's where I met duff, wasted, tigg, buffy, poo, ernie, relic, sug and the other fellas.

ya, its always hard for the lower level players...but, we've all been there, and thats probably why we are all eager to help...

Trust me Cloud the so called super weapon doesn't help all the time on this server.

I'm very close minded about certain things, lol.

I like to watch, Nyte, and Duffy play this game because they are good at it. I am not.

I spend enough time getting owned in TAM or TDM I don't need anything to crush my self esteem anymore. LOL It's ok if you guys want to play it, but it's not for me, especially if it takes you guys away from Ti friend time and TAM play, and the Ti tea party I'm throwing next Saturday night.

Seriously though, if you guys dig it, play on........but to me, it's Gay.

I actually loved playing vanilla Invasion w/o a translocator. Like a midget at a urinal, you'd have to stay on your toes.

Hi peepers! Duffy you forgot to mention 'Lexx'? j/k, how you doing ol' friend.

Its hard to drop your core believes on Invasion. We played ultimate fighting style (notranx, Satore, basic maps) on Anubis' so long, and RPG was detested. Then a game of 1000 really meant something. It also allowed anyone to jump in anytime equal. I have maybe 2 hrs a week for gaming anymore, no time or patience for the rpg version.

I've found the best replacement for invasion to be a)L4d and b)zombies in W@W:COD. I quit UT because everyone was playing TAM which I don't care for much. I'd rather DM and pickup weapons vs getting rocketed or blobbed the instant the game started.

I really miss InstaCTF and Jailbreak. If anyone would like to do that or any UT3 action drop me a line at dualclan.com. Duff, your still there you know ;p
