A bit more on Far Cry 2

I've played maybe 7% of the game, and I'm finding the missions to be repetitive. Kill this guy, blow up those munitions, and not much else.
There are apparently no civilians in that part of Africa, only hostile adult males who are packing heat. The only exceptions are the arms dealers who sell me weapons and offer me missions, and my "buddies" who occasionally help out when I've died and need to be revived.
The colors have a washed out quality, and the landscape is mostly generic.
Well, enough already, you've gotten the drift by now.
