Why is it that everything associated with aliens ends up being green?

those guys from mars are Little "Green" Men
those computers from that company are Green
those immigrants have a "Green" card.

Maybe that's why 'environmentally friendly' americans are called 'Greenies'

Because the whole concept of "not polluting the land, see and air... Not killing off all life on the planet" is well... Alien?
