Just wanted to post a little something about some people that died this week. Long time Yankee great Bobby Mercer who had been the announcer for awhile now died he seemed like a pretty good dude.

Michael DeBakey died and many people might not know his name but he pioneered heart-bypass procedures in the 1960's and probably has saved the lives of a million people I bet so cheers to Mike he also invented the heart pump to boot.

Finally Tony Snow lost his tragic battle with cancer this week. I knew when they stopped updating his condition publically it was not going well. He died this week at the too young age of 53 and had talent coming out his pores. I really liked this guy on TV when he was on fox I like people who can think fast on their feet and he was good at that. When he took the press secretary job from Scott McClellan, who was going down in flames if anyone remembers, Tony turned things around. Only second to Bagdad Bob, Sadam's press secretary, is the difficulty of being Bush's in this unpopular time. He handled rapid fire impossible questions daily with well thought answers and a composed demeanor when you know how much stress he was under and I really respect that. He was on a meteoric rise and it is better to burn out then to fade away but at 53 Tony had a lot more to give.
