Pretty much what I've been saying all along. It's all about cutting corners and getting product out the door. It's all about bottom line and keeping up appearances on the stock market. Nobody really gives a damn about quality.
How many little utilities are you running that have a version number less than 1.0 ? How many have BETA or RELEASE CANDIDATE in the name. None of this would fly in any industry other than software.

three mile was a demo...they fixed the dodge jump when it released
