So, my first call of the day today at work (I work for Xerox, who does the tech support for a state sponsored home schooling program via the net) (http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2000/0 ... sroom.html)
My first call of the day was what was apparently a dead USB modem. So I spent about a half hour over the phone with a little punk, who, quite frankly, needed a good beating. I finally give up on the modem and write it off as a loss and get the info to send him a new one. I tell him he's gonna be out of action for a few days to a week until the new modem arrives. He tells his mother this, and his mother, loud and clear thanks to a booming voice says, and I am not shitting you....
"He's lyin to you son, he's just tryin to keep the black man down!"
"Okay, have a good day, sir" *click*
The next call...a guy with a voice box....

These calls were on the same day I got canned
----
"okay, I need you to go ahead and hit the power button on the printer"
I hear a flesh whacking plastic noise...
"Okay, I punched the power button like you said, what do I do next"
*hits the mute button before rolling on floor*
-------------
"What version of windows do you have?"
"A Dell Dimension 3000"
