QUAKE IV

Postby nonstop » Tue Sep 20, 2005 2:42 pm

I don't know if there are any Quake fans in the clan or with the folks who read the boards here but I have always been. Doom3 was a big disappointment but games using it's engine are starting to show up and QuakeIV is one of them.

All the hands on previews so far are saying they are keeping the multiplayer aspect just like Quake3 which I have played at least as much as UT2004. Quake 3 is almost 6 years old now though so it's been around longer. You may remember that the quake series inspired UT99.

Anyway, the previews look great and their keeping everything in tact that worked before with a better looking engine. It also has a single player experience that looks good.

Here are a couple hands on previews.... I for one am excited.

I was reading up no Quake 4 earlier this week. I never got into the mp like I did UT99, but I might have to at least try this one out. I gave Doom 3 a try( which I regret) so I'll give this a chance.
