This morning, from a cave somewhere in Pakistan, Taliban Minister of Migration, Mohammed Omar, warned the United States that if military action against Iraq continues, Taliban authorities will cut off
America's supply of convenience store managers, and possible
candidates for President of the United States. And if this action
does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed
by Dell and AOL customer service representatives, and then Motel 6
managers.

McCain is a Muslim? That could work in his favor! He could argue that Muslims would feel a lot less like we were waging war on Islam if we had a Muslim President. It could take a lot of steam out of the terrorists anti American propaganda. Given the Republican record, they could use something like that to help offset their poor performance so far.

My understanding is that the Taliban is a radical Muslim group. They are enforcing strict Muslim rules in the areas that they control, requiring men to wear beards and women to wear head coverings, for example.

Religion has nothing to do with race, as far as I can tell. There are Muslims of many races, as is true of Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.
