Hello folks,
I'm not sure if this has been discussed earlier here (probably), but the other day the idea of getting a new mouse pad stuck w/ me the entire day. Most likely b/c noni dismissed my current mouse pad as joke. It bothered me, & i turned red when i saw that post (not really haha), so i decided to get some info from the great ppl - here at Ti which i admire for their L33T hardware section. What i have right now is a cloth pad 10x10 -- works best once washed w/ soap, + underneath is another mouse pad w/ hard surface (i can't remember the name now), that has very slick surface. I find it hard to game on that 1 & i only use it as a base. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated by me. I'm looking for a bigger pad this time around

I have the XL and now I see there is an XXL and I am going to get that. It has a really nice surface and I am really happy with it after 6 months of owning one.

looks good bud, the XXL i guess is double the size of XL.

Yeah I need to check which one I have I thought it was the XL and that is pretty big. The XXl would probably stretch right to the bathroom which would be good so I wont get any camping deaths in TAM when nature calls.

Believe it or not, you can get a great big mouse pad for very cheap by using urinal pads.

I know you can get big mats at compusa very cheap. Their the same kind fatality uses for his brand name. Nothing to special, just huge. Big enough that I keep part of it under my keyboard.

I think the one I got was like 9.00 at compusa and I believe it was called big mat. It's about 17" x 11" and it does fine. The xtrac is very good and their are many great ones out there. Ice mat, steelpad etc. Tomshardware did a review on several if that helps too. I would just go for big if you have your mouse sense low like mine.

They say good things about xtrax houdini but there are much better out there. The ones in these reviews are small for me. Yours looks a bit different though.

yea you're correct i have low sens .42 as of now, also very limited angle of movements w the mouse -- i'd say 180 without moving the player, rotation[left-right] =6cm. but you gave me way to many options noni.... now i'm confused becides that is just rediculous 17x11

i did have plastic/ glass b4 but it was just wortheless imo. it just didn't feel right so i stuck w cloth-pads.. all i had to do was wash it every month or so.

I got the Ripper XL... nice, except when it gets that one invisible spec of dust the side of my hand runs passed while non is shooting at me...causing me to lift my hand up off the mouse to see what I'm running over, and die.

i love mine, plenty o room, except i have to train myself to use it...im still used to my like 4"x4" one....

I have a Razer exactmat (got it for free ). It's one of those smooth plastic thingys. Took me a couple of weeks to get used to it but now I can't go back to cloth pads. They seem so sluggish compared to this.

Well I took Non-Stop's reply to heart and thought I would look into the different pads out there and see if I could best my Xtrac Ripper XL. After I looked at all the offerings I decided to go with the Banshee Pad.

Really it is unique compared to many of the other mouse pads seeing it is a solid piece of airplane grade aluminum. Also on a good note the owner Thomas Athanas has been surprisingly responsive to all my emails about specs, concerns and even gave me some critiques on his competition. You really can’t find someone like that at a company these days so that was cool. I am having my clan tag laser etched on it so when I get it (being ordered tomorrow by my lovely girlfriend) I will post some pictures and a short review if anyone is interested.

I tend to hang the ripper about 1/16" over the edge of the desk to soften the corner
