You will no longer see me hangin around - while shopping on Price Watch for a new vid card - I was curious to see how much my Radeon 9700 pro was worth now. Well the card I spent over $400 on not more than 2 yrs ago is now selling for $96! Yes I am behind but damn!

I have decided to start my own clan with Shawty and we will die in peace. Y'all take care...

This would be my form of suicide. To be in a clan with someone that cusses more than me? Unacceptable!! Now will someone steer me toward a good buy on a new vid card before I really jump off a building!

I am boycotting ATI with their refusal to give decent driver support, especially for linux. Yes, I know that's kinda sad and geek-like... but if you've ever wasted hours and hours of your time to get lied and suffer horrible system problems you know what I mean.

So, let me be sure on this... you would turn down a very-high-end video card even if it cost less than a super-sized combo meal for two at your local fast food dive?

Start a clan with me? For your sake, it's a good thing you're joking, but in case you ever change your mind, I'm all ears. I've been having a bit of trouble recruiting for [CPFS] (Can't Play For Shit).

As for vid card advice (high-end, AGP I take it?), I recommend the All-In-Wonder X800XT at Zipzoomfly for $300. Plus, you can get a $20 mail-in-rebate if you buy one before December 4:

Either that or a Visiontek X850XT PE for $350 at Monarch:

Well I would spend $300 to $400 again - but we are going to have a baby in January - right after Christmas. I can't really justify that kind of money right now. I just want to get into the 256 mb area cheaply and make the big jump to a good 515 mb next summer when I go on bonus. So - found this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... etailSpecs

It's just 100 mhz slower in clock speed and 20 mhz slower in memory clock speed than the $325 ones I saw comparable. What ya think?

Not much out there under $200 that will justify you getting rid of your 9700 Pro just yet.

Maybe this one--if you don't mind an ugly video card:

You're better off waiting IMO.
