Thanks to a little help from Sid, I have made myself hit rock bottom. That's right rock bottom. I have ordered the media center that I've always wanted now that I have a monitor to go with it. It's a $1500 box to go with my fancy universal vista infrared/RF remote control. :)

So I got the remote control in the mail yesterday. Wowee this thing is great!. Even though it is certified for Vista, it is fully functional on Windows XP and Windows Media Player. So awesome omfg!. I can wave the thing around like a nintendo Wii controller to move my mouse curser around. Of course Wii controllers are much more violent. My remote is sensitive enough to simply turn my wrist. I can play games, listen to movies/music and watch tv from my bed without even getting up. I can't imagine how much better it's going to be with vista though.

you gonna throw that thing through your widescreen like the dumbasses do with their Wii controllers and their HDTV's?

The only thing it's missing is a mouse wheel. I have to scroll using by clicking the arrows the old fashion way. It will probably work different on vista though. Unfortunately, this won't increase my time spent online. It's not that I don't want to play UT, I simply just don't have a lot of time. Second shift hours M-F plus I was working a lot of overtime. You'll have to catch me saturday or sunday nights houdi.

When you going to have all the parts to build that thing Clown ?
You will need to flash your BIOS to recongize that CPU.
Nyte can help you there .

Actually i could use somebody tomorrow on AOL or Yahoo! msgnr or teamspeak after I put the pieces together. I have no idea how to set up the bios or RAID 0 before installing vista.

Thanks to sid's dedication to my pokey ass, it's been built. I installed Vista completely in under 20 minutes with no hitches once I put the cd in. I've even done a little "hacking" with Vista Media Center already. MC is tied in to windows media player 11 as well. I've learned how to crack exclusive online radio winamp .pls (playlist files) to work in WMP 11. Normally winamp exclusive online radio stations is a big no-no for WMP. :) Not to mention winamp radio stations are far superior to WMP since it's not regulated by microsoft. Anyways, I have carried all that over to windows media center to have all the free radio I can handle without buying a tuner card. I'm very used to using the DFX Audio Enhancer for my WMP 11 on the old box. My X-fi card pretty much has the same thing. It will take some time to tweak it using the THX console. I'm greatful that my speakers are THX certified. (not the best speakers, but for 2.1 I think they are really kick ass. http://www.klipsch.com/products/details ... a-2-1.aspx) Now i'm on the task of carrying over my two 120bg drives over to this box. Unfortunately my external enclosure does not work with vista. It's actually a very common issue with my enclosure model. The manufacturer only provides drivers for Windows 98. It's supposed to be plug-n-play for all other OS apparently. So what I have to do is plug it in to an old hp box, then network it to my vista box. This completely slows down the transfer rate. UT2004 works great. I got a chance to kick pork's ass around for a bit. :)

You know Clown I was playing the other night and I actually thought it was nice not to have to look up in weird coners of the map checking for your ass crawling along some pipe or something.
