I am starting a long term thread here.
This is the case I have picked out for my next system.

Big thumbs up on the case Pork. I may have to look at that one myself.

The psu though only has 18a on the 12v. Not good if your getting a card in the 7800-7900 or x1900 range. Get one that has at least 28a on the 12v. You may need to go single rail for that.

Toms likes your case pork. They seem to like the silverstone tj09 a bit better but I like the looks of the antec 900.

This is a great psu and it has 520W 33 amps on single 12V rail. Anything less these days gets you into trouble with higher end video cards.

Good post Nuge.

OK I have decided on the new Nvidia GF8800 as the next component on my new system. By the time I get around to building it this may change.

The 8800 won't fit in that case.

Nice case Porkinator, you can't go wrong with an Antec. Mine is pretty standard I guess. I never got in to the whoe case modding thing.

In fact, I am the only one I know that plays UT on a C64

>load a:\utdisk100001
>Insert Disk 00002
>Insert Disk 00003
>Insert Disk 00004
>Insert Disk 08001...
...... I just pray that the power doesn't go down

Maybe down the road when I can afford one of the next generation video cards, I will get a new case.

The 8800gtx is 11" long and won't fit into that antec case pork. Make sure you look hard for a case with at least 12" length because your card will be butting up against your hard drives and you still have to plug in 2 molex connectors.

np I will just cut a couple of inches off.
I think the gts model is a little shorter. I haven't decided yet.
System build will probably happen in 3 months.
I am waiting to see what AMD and ATI comes up with.
