Hehe.
So, for those of you who are unaware, I tried to make a post about the "Intel Xtreme Core Conflict" competition held at this years FRAGAPALOOZA in Edmonton, AB - CANADA... Basically 1000-man lan party. Intel and MDG were sponsors, and I was chosen to be part of this contest.
You can see my new computer specs in my siggy. It was a blast to build...
On JULY 27, 2006 (C2D launch day)
5 of us were given the exact same hardware; x6800, badaxe, ballistix mem, 150gb raptor-x, dual x1900's... we got to chose our own case, power supply, and any other gear we needed for the build.
I chose to do complete watercooling... Danger Den DD-D5 pump, I figured that the 1040L/hour flow rate would be sufficient... I got a Danger Den cpu block for 775, couple of Maze-4 blocks for the video cards, and a Black Ice Xtreme radiator, 120x2...
I know you're all disappointed that I don't have pics right now, but they're coming soon, I promise!
Wait, I lied!!! The pics finally came in!!!
Did I mention that I got to keep all the hardware? And a $5000 cash prize...
I only had 6 hours to build it, under very intense circumstances... I think it turned out pretty good... I have since returned home and rebuilt it to look nicer...
Here are pics;
And now I get to play...
