Make sure you check the mice out. The MX518 is more like MX510. The buttons on the G5 are different from the MX510 (for example only one thumb button). I won't give up my MX1000 for the G7.

Ok - it was down to a G5 or MX1000. I ordered the G5 from Newegg with free shipping. My tracking # tells me it will be a week to get here! What...is it thumbing a ride to Texas???

Hoss... How old is the MX510?

If it is still under warranty, call logitech... They will ship you a replacement free of charge. I got 2 new MX500's that way that had problems.

Worst case, you could E-bay it for a couple of bucks... or hang onto it as an extra.

... or give it to me :-D

Well I never kept the receipt. Oh well, it's shiny and colorful and my son just loves it as his new toy.
