No fanboy of either side here, I'm a fanboy of the best performance for the buck and Intel has not only placed ahead of amd, they are actually way way ahead now.

The best part is, these chips are major overclockers too so you can get the lest of the Intel core duos for around 150.00 and outperform the best chip amd has to offer, the fx62 that runs for $1000.00 right now on newegg. And better yet, you won't just be beating the fx62 for $150.00, you will be trouncing it by a major performance difference.

Anyone want an amd board!

Naix, anything that was said about consider amd before, basically forget about it. Intel is going to be kicking amd all over the map for quite a while now.

id be willing to shell out the same cash for an AMD product over an Intel because ive had just too many problems with intel processors

same with Nvidia cards over ati. you'd be that way if you had 9 9800 pros outright die on you

Odd that... were they real 'built by ati' cards, or 3rd party (saphire etc) brand using the ATI chip.

I've never had an ATI (built by) go bad, and I've had plenty of them over the years

Intels Core duo is beating AMDs best right now by 70% in some measures. The greatest thing is that you can run the processor without a fan at full load and only see the temps go up 3 degrees even on their extreme edition core duo, e6800... Was this thing built by aliens?

hard to believe Intel actually got in the game...bout time...

where are the AMD quad processors due out....sounds like a cpu arms race where we benefit :)

i had to do that stupid best buy swap trick, which was really wrong, a few times and ATI themselves even replaced my card a few times.
