mx518 say no more. And, you will find wired more to your fragging delite. The 510 has been the best for about a yr now but the new 518 has 1600 dpi, 2x the 510. If you want my 510 nyte it's yours for 30 bucks. The 510 is still a great gamers mouse but I had to go for the higher density/throughput.

Keyboard? I'm limited because once I went to the natural keyboards and did the 2 week break in, I can't go back. Tried, can't. Tried because logitech has some kick ass boards with low action.

The mx518 is logitech's answer to the Razer Diamondback. Both are good products so its a personal preference on mouse size (I'm still partial to the Diamondback). As for keyboards you can get a decent Logitech board for cheap. This is what I'm using:

Keep in mind with mice higher DPI is much more sensitive (Karna used to make a 2000dpi mouse - that was wicked) and it make take a day or two of playing to get used to it. But boy is it sweet!

All I can recommend whatever mouse you get don't load the stupid software for it. Use Windows default - the rest just ads system overhead.

ty man...ya, my board now is very similar to the one u posted...just wireless....

and, my mouse now (MX700) is the wireless version of the 510 anyways and almost the same as the 518, minus the dpi increase....

Yeah I have the 700 keyboard/mouse combo but had to go buy the 510 for my mouse since wireless sucks on gaming :)

It's not that bad, I've been using this logitech mouse for nearly a year (it came with the keyboard) and it's worked like a charm! The only problem is when the batteries die...

I think wireless is fine for the casual gamer, rpgs etc.. You won't find anyone in the upper ranks and pros using them though.

I'm a million light yrs from there but I like to pretend.

On another note, just got the 518 and it's very nice. As pewt said the higher dp is hard to get used to. I have my mouse speed down to .5 now as it moves fast. I have to say it's very precise.

I had a razer and liked how accurate it felt but I have big hands and I just couldn't get a grip on the darn thing. The 518 is same shape and housing as the 510 and it's still a little small but it fits better.

First impression is it's very accurate. I will have to adjust a bit. For some weird reason it has affected my movement more than anything. I keep missing jumps and floating around more. How odd?

If anyone wants a 510 that's about 3 mo old let me know. Imma put it on ebay but I'll sell it outright at 35 with shipping included if anyone wants it.
