They cancelled my vid card!

Postby Hoss » Fri Jan 30, 2009 5:10 pm

Finally got the money for my card and I went to order it and it is no longer available - bastards.

Is this a good one for the price or is there a better one for under $200?

Iwould go for the 4850 instead of that one.
Nvidia having problems with their filler material that keeps the card keeps the processor
from separating from the PCB boards and getting a lot of failures and overheating.

yeah no shit. people who use ati cards are fanboys who enjoy the problems they have upgrading their drivers. or better yet, they occasionally have to restart their system because their GPU gets too damn hot. do yourself a favor and get an Nvidia.

I have a 4870 and it used to run about 79c until I found out the default fan speed was 15% . Now the new drivers has a fan control and at 30% fan speeed my card runs at 34 c.
