I thought I was the only one having this probiem till I ran across this.

The solution ?
YO! I have been plagued by this "stuttering"/ "choppy" shiz in utk4 using an 8800GTS myself.

Here is the fix (temporary until Drivers are fixed, but it works)

In UT2004.ini find "UseHardwareTL=True" and change to "UseHardwareTL=False"

Some say they can see a diff in IQ, but I don't at all, and all runs smooth now.
This was driving me nuts cause on some maps it was great others very choppy . This thread had 5 pages worth of peeps having the same problem.
