Tribal Instinct

As of today, I am opening up TeamSpeak to "The Tribal Instinct Community". The community is not just -T¡- clan members! Anyone who uses this site and enjoys UT can be a part of this community!

There are requirements to being on this list:

1. A http://www.tribalinstinct.net registered user
2. Active website and game server participation
3. A functional microphone - it's no fun if you can't talk too!
4. Positive contributions. This means no flaming/flamebaiters... we want community members who want to have fun!

This is not an open server! People who want to use this will be required to have a registered username and password from me to use this - I'm not opening this up for everyone that plays UT Utilization is logged and monitored.

There are 3 "open" channels for general use: Default, RedTeam, and BlueTeam. These are for everyone. Take a guess at what they can be used for

There are 3 "closed" clan-only channels for -T¡- use, These all start with "-T¡-" and require you to be a clan member to join.

Please post here your request for an account and you will be PM'd your account information. If you have problems connecting or using TS please first visit the TeamSpeak forums or post a seperate thread and we will try to help you.

And of course the general disclaimer: This is a site privilege and its administration is completely arbitrary.

it's come to my attention that there's a mac client beta going on that was developed independently of TS (called Team Speex) for Macs, and they have now joined forces with the original TS folks. The next generation client should be simultaneous release for both platforms.

My computer is already a dog, but since the sound threads can be offloaded onto the other CPU which is not utilized by the game (screaming 800 mhz) it may not really cripple it further. I'd like to give it a try...

Plus, I have an iBook which I could use simultaneously and do the sound there...haven't played w/ it at all but would love to give it a whirl.

I have to admit I don't really see the advantage...someone said sound quality is better (I asked in between matches online) but no one uses it anyway. I always thought it would be good to coordinate some teamwork this way...

Anyway, I'd still like to give it a whirl please.

Thanks, ended up running on iBook, and works well, but few use...seems a shame. Is this well known through the group? Or does it get used primarily for the private server for "real" matches?

Ya get him one so I can chew him out when he hacks. I talk to him on Poos vent server and he is a cool guy that actually plays almost every night.
