That's the best part of having some of those maps! I love the people crying over SPAM. First and foremost, it cracks me up that they bitch about it all the while continuing to play (these are the kids you could easily trick into jumping off the bridge as a kid). Second, they are usually the biggest spammers in the game and the real reason they are pissed is because they do is stand still and shock-whore, no a smaller map they are dead before their secondary gets halfway to target. Yeah, it's the maps fault you don't know how to pick the right weapon for the fight.
90% of the people that play UT ride the short bus. With map vote, these special people will vote for Osiris when there are only 4 people playing and will vote for Compressed when there are 16 people playing. I'll take a set map list, just because it will at least add an element of chance. It's sad, but odds are I'll get a game I like better when the short bus people can't vote.
If it was more of a constant of normal peeps, c2c guys, dxii guys, BeerNUT guys (<--- gets classified as a "clan" just cuz the mofo plays like 4 guys at once), Soup and the other regulars, map vote would work fine. Problem for me is at most there are like 4 normal people, 6 noobs, and 1 tard in a pear tree...and I'm playing retarded maps (FYI, at which point I leave because I'm not a dumbass).
