Re: Well, my wife cheated on me...
Hmmm with games like Portal, Bioshock, COD4, and The Witcher released just last year to name a few, i don't how PC gaming is dying. I think his tool isn't as sharp as it use to be. That or he sold out to Microsoft and this is just the echo of what Microsoft whispered in his ear. I ended up selling m...

Re: excellent article on the new Intel Dual core low end CPUs.
Im holding out for the Yorkfield Quad Core Penryns. Im lucky my motherboard even supports the 45nm penryns since my motheboard is a 965P intel Chipset. I just hope My Mobo will be compantible with the next couple graphic card generations since my graphic slot is only a PCIE 1.0 and the new Geforce 8...

Re: What is new, or cool, or better in UT3?
Im having trouble with this question... Besides the graphic engine that runs smoothly on my video card there isnt much. I like the added armor idea. Customizavle characters. It still feels kinda fast, and the relatively more realistic feel to it (not spacey jumps all the time) is growing on me. Find...

Re: UT 3 first impressions
Theres not even a way to add servers to your Favorites anymore, atleast not that i could find anymore because of the new patch. Spectating requires leaving the server. Not as many graphic options. Im getting use to the no jump, using the dodge more instead of double jumping. I just have to master th...

I just played this game too. Charming little game, i hope to see more of it. The simple story was pretty good, and laid the groundwork for possibly a cameo in Halflife or its on sequel. I liked the ending song too, that was clever.
Portal was definitely more then it seemed.

Re: 8800 bottles of beer on the wall
is that a G80 or a G92 architecture? Because is its G80 the 8800GT runs faster, cooler for a cheaper price. Dunno what's under the heatsink. It's an EVGA 8800 KO w/ 640 MB With that amount of memory its definately a G80, not a G92. The G92 is a die shrink. The new GTS only come in 512MB. Ohwell, yo...

Re: Duke Nukem
Any game that took longer then WW2 to end should be da bomb. :salmon: Duke3D rocked. There was so much interactivity with the environment. go to flush a toilet and you gain a bit of health as you take a leak. Go to a toilet in any other game and its just the player pressing the lever. LAME! It was b...

Re: Book recommendations by Houdini and friends
hyperion and the fall of hyperion by dan simmons, I read that too, i found it entertaining, but was left not so curious to what happens next really. I don't see the bug fuzz about the ending either, the parellel is transparently obvious, but i thought it was a bit loony. I'm sure you've read Neal S...

Re: Book recommendations by Houdini and friends
The other was actually an Oprah book club book but don’t be scarred. The Road by Cormac McCarthy is a great read. It is a journey of a father and son to safety after some sort of an apocalypse that has left everything vaporized. I could not put it down and then end is really good if your enjoy read...

1 book that i thot was really good, even tho i did have to read it in school, was farenheit 451. I thought that was so so. 1984 by Orwell is another classic, but my favorite remains to be The Giver, one of the First books I ever read. Highly recommend it! Its banned from many schools because of the...

1.1 didn't fix the problem on my desktop and neither did beta 4. :salmon: Damn you Epic...Looks like I need to adjust to playing on my laptop for now. I've heard touchpads on the laptops are for the 733t. My opinion of the game is just from what I played on the DEMO so far. Unreal just seems ...
