Well hooked up old computer again yesterday to try it out, so far so good with the cheap network card I put in it.

There is no beating a mouse/ keyboard in a fps type game, you just cannot get the reaction time/ precision as with a controler, trust me ive tried this first hand and there is no contest there at all, im about 1000% better with mouse in hand.
