Thanks.
(and I started this thread under Server stuff and it should've been under Site Junk...sorry)

been out of the loop for a while... Great idea...thanks for the input. Unfortunately, unlike MS's remote desktop which is free, Apple sells a GUI remote seperately (like $100) or it can be purchased as part of a Server/Administrator OS version for big bucks...both are out of the budget. The bench fe...

Nonstop: loved the vaporware article, always enjoyed monty python, and this comment on the G5 had me rofl (may be less funny to those that don't follow/use Macs?): 8. Apple Computer's G5 Chips at 3 GHz Intel's in good company. Nobody hit the chip speeds they promised. In June 2003, Apple CEO Steve J...

played around a bit with some of the settings, don't seem to make much difference. Think I am getting about everything out of the machine I can...which is saying alot for a 2001 box that is just barely below what they say the minimum requirement is...can't whine on that one. As far as a new machine ...

Thanks all for the input. I do appreciate knowing the background...I am a dumbass with the behind the scenes stuff, but learning...things are slightly different on the mac. Also, nonstop, appreciated your idea, a little light went on and reminded me of some tool in the Santaduck toolpack called cach...

Last Night couldn't get on at Ti and went to Purgatory server (http://www.teamresurrection.com)....anyway, they had an updated v2 of the campgrounds map that was just nicer...even at minimal savings the map just seemed to be richer, and no sacrifice in smoothness or speed--in fact just seemed faster...

Log In screens:
For your consideration: Might the log in screen letters slightly brighter or the background darker? I'm not worried about password security and don't log in all the time, but when I do it is sooo hard to see--like doing one of those vision tests...uuuggghhhh. not easy for a Blind Squirrel. The forum...

Sadness. About 1 hour after getting dumped, knocked a lamp over which knowcked a glass of water over and spilled several ounces into my iBook...dried out for a few days and screen won't come up, sound muted...though the good news is it boots and I could suck files off the drive over ethernet. Gettin...

was 69.28.220.96 a real Ti server, or is it one of these impostor sites? somehow it got into my favorites list, for a while (late Nov/early Dec) I was going here... just curious, found it in my Favs list that I was cleaning out all the junk/old links...think I've got it sorted out now. There name wa...

no doubt this is old hat, probably dealt with on the prior incarnation of the board, but wondering what is the best (read free) way to link to/serve a small image for an avatar? Further, what version of phpBB are you running Pewter? I was looking at the phpBB site and it says they now support local ...

For the new/uninitiated/not in the loop:
Who / how does the clan pay for the servers and web space? Group donations? Dues? Rich Uncles?
maybe even Sugar Mommas
